ETHICS IN BUSINESS
For our emerging workforce high school graduates
March 13th, 2018 at Cuyamaca College
Ethics in Business is celebrating its 27th anniversary as a program of
the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce and the Grossmont Union High School District
Career Technical Education Department. It is the result of a cooperative effort by a consortium of
business, education, and community leaders. The program is designed to train the next generation
to become principled leaders. It includes in-class study and teacher-driven curriculum focusing upon
what good ethical behavior is, and is supported by the business community with a half-day
ethics training workshop at Cuyamaca College for high school juniors and seniors.
Through case studies, videos and discussion, Ethics in Business benefits nearly
two hundred students each year as they prepare to enter the workplace.
In previous years, students had the opportunity to write an essay
and compete for cash awards (scholarships) following the program.
Congratulations to the 2017 WINNERS of the essay contest:
First Place – Kacey Butrovich
Second Place – Nicolas Pupa
Third Place – Jakob Lepur
