ETHICS IN BUSINESS
For our emerging workforce high school graduates
March 14th, 2017 at Cuyamaca College
Ethics in Business is celebrating its 26th anniversary as a program of
the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce and the Grossmont Union High School District
Career Technical Education Department. It is the result of a cooperative effort by a consortium of
business, education, and community leaders. The program is designed to train the next generation
to become principled leaders. It includes in-class study and teacher-driven curriculum focusing upon
what good ethical behavior is, and is supported by the business community with a half-day
ethics training workshop at Cuyamaca College for high school juniors and seniors.
Through case studies, videos and discussion, Ethics in Business benefits nearly
two hundred students each year as they prepare to enter the workplace.
In the weeks following the event, students will have the opportunity to
write an essay and compete for cash awards (scholarships). The winners will be highlighted
at the Chamber’s First Friday Breakfast on May 5th at Cuyamaca College Student Center.
STUDENTS: Please reference your Ethics in Business booklet from the workshop
for Essay Contest Guidelines. Essays should be submitted to the San Diego East County Chamber
of Commerce in person or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
